Capabilities
Machining
We have a full CNC machine shop with multiple Vertical machines and lathes with mill turn. We are able to do large volume parts runs as well as 1 or 2 pieces for a custom job. We do all of our programming in house and can work from 3D models or simple 2D drawings.
Welding
We utilize a variety of welding techniques including Mig, Tig and Spot as well as brazing and soldering that allows us to weld almost any metal type. Welding brass is one of our specialties, over the years we have developed and refined our technique allowing us to achieve seamless porosity free welds, that once sanded and finished are virtually undetectable.
Lighting
We can produce any of your existing lighting fixtures in any material. We manufacture most of the required parts in house. We have expert assemblies who are well versed with complicated assemblies. We are a UL shop and can handle all of your UL certification needs. We also routinely shepherd new LED designs through UL certification.
Forming
We can handle all of your forming needs from simple press brake work to complex bends on our CNC press brake. We also hot form brass bar to make complex bends with custom tooling that is produced in house.
Foundry
Gentner Fabrication offers a full range of foundry services, specializing in lost wax ceramic shell casting. We begin by turning any model, drawing or idea into a detailed pattern. We use a combination of 3D printing and machining to account for shrinkage and ensure the highest level of precision. From this pattern we make a reusable silicone mold to pull our waxes from. These waxes are then encased in a silica slurry that when dry allows the wax to burn out and the metal to be poured in. We focus primarily on bronze and brass alloys, but can accommodate other materials. For questions about maximum size and volume for pieces please contact our foundry department.
Finishing
We can finish fabricated machined or Cast parts in any finish up to a #7 mirror finish. We maintain sharp crisp surfaces and edges with a special attention to detail. We also offer a wind range of hand applied patinas on any of our brass or bronze pieces. As well dark patinas on stainless steel. We can also work with you to match existing patinas or develop entire new finish per your specifications.
